Miss Wantage Township Application

 I am a young lady 17-21 years of age, single and I wish to become a contestant to represent Wantage Township. As a candidate, I will abide by the following rules: 

  1. All contestants must have passed their 17th birthday, but not yet reached their 22nd birthday (proof of age may be required). 
  2. All contestants must be year-round residents of Wantage Township (proof of residency may be required). 
  3. All contestants will wear evening formal attire. 
  4. The young lady selected as “Miss Wantage” must be available to attend Wantage Day following the contest at Woodbourne Park. 
  5. The young lady selected as “Miss Wantage” must be available to represent Wantage Township at the Queen of the Fair pageant on Saturday, August 3, at the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show/New Jersey State Fair and must also be available to attend MANDATORY rehearsals. Should you be selected as the 2024 Queen of the Fair, you must also be available for the remaining seven days of the fair. 
Birth Date
Write an essay about yourself in less than 250 words. The essay should include your hobbies, special interests, accomplishments, and plans for your future. Include only the information that is most important about you and do not include your name. This essay will be used to introduce you as you approach the stage.
RELEASE I hereby release the Township of Wantage, and its representatives, from any and all liabilities. I also consent to the possibility of my photograph or likeness being published on the township website, Facebook, or in newspapers. My signature below verifies that I have read and understand the rules of the 2024 Miss Wantage Township Contest and will abide by them; as well as #5 above.

The Deadline to submit an application is May 17, 2024. Applications submitted after May 17, 2024, will not be accepted.
